Jerry Streich is a public safety strategic advisor, keynote speaker, and author of Dealing with Difficult People, published by Fire Engineering Books.
A former U.S. Army Combat Medic, Fire Chief, and emergency manager, Jerry has spent more than 40 years leading, serving, and developing others in the fire service. His work has taken him across North America and Africa, where he has trained thousands of leaders and advised local governments, public safety agencies, and the organizations that support them.
Today, Jerry helps communities strengthen leadership, improve organizational performance, and make better public safety decisions. His passion is helping leaders build healthy cultures by addressing the difficult conversations firefighters avoid and how avoiding them quietly damages culture, trust, and mental well-being.
