Justin Champion

Justin Champion is an Iraq veteran, firefighter, and mental health advocate who has spent over two decades in uniform, serving both on the battlefield and in the firehouse. After battling post-traumatic stress, struggling through broken relationships, and facing the mental toll of the job, Justin found his foundation for recovery in God. That faith not only saved his life—it gave him purpose. Rebuilding his relationship with his kids has become one of his greatest callings, and being present for them today means everything. He now serves as an Instructor Coordinator for the New Mexico State Fire Academy and is the founder of From the Ashes, a firefighter-owned training group focused on restoring brotherhood, delivering realistic fireground training, and promoting mental wellness in the fire service. Through his story, Justin brings a message of redemption, resilience, and rising through adversity.
